I needed something special to give to my dear friend who worked his tail off to achieve a 3.9 GPA during his college adventure. The rare honor, summa cum laude

After four undergraduate years at college, one of which was impacted greatly by CoVid, our son graduated summa cum laude! The college recognized this achievement in the Graduation program but did not provide medals or honor cords. So I ordered a summa cum laude medal and even had a short personalized message engraved on the back. Both he and I are delighted with the quality of the medal and the engraving. The one thing I missed was the medal did not come with a ribbon to hang it around his neck. To have ordered a ribbon separately would have been relatively expensive, given that I had already paid for shipping for the medal. Instead, I purchased some black satin ribbon from my local fabric store and designed a simple way he could wear his medal.
